Altitude Executives Limited ("Altitude") privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use our websites and all related mobile applications and other interactive properties and services (collectively .Website.). By submitting your information to Altitude you agree to the terms and conditions as detailed in this Privacy Policy document. If you do not agree to the terms of this privacy policy, you should not use this website.

Any visitor to the Website may review the contents and information of all areas except the members area which can only be accessed through a unique email address and password and the Employers area which is also accessed through a unique username and password.

All personal information given to Altitude is kept in strictest confidence.

What information do we collect about you?

Altitude collects basic personal data about you. This can however include Name, address, phone numbers, personal email addresses. Information is collected about you when you request us to contact you or place an order with us for our products or services. Altitude treats all data which identifies an individual as Personal Data. Altitude acts as the .Controller' of the personal data you provide to us, this means we control what happens to the data in our possession. We need to know your basic personal data to provide you with information associated with your queries and our services. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need to provide and oversee this service to you. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

When you register as a member of Altitude, we ask for basic personal data including:

Name, address, phone numbers, personal email addresses, Career history, Education, Other resume/CV type information.

In addition, through your use of the Website, we store information on the way in which you use the Website - jobs reviewed and applied for, directories used, frequency of use and other similar information. The purpose of such tracking is to enable us continually to improve our services to members.

How will we use the information about you?

We use information we collect to manage your relationship with Altitude, and:
  • provide recruitment services and resources to you;
  • enable you to submit your profile, apply online for vacancies or use our various databases and resources.;
  • provide you with marketing information in accordance with your preferences; this information may include reports, and information about products, services, promotions, offers and events, and may be provided by email, telephone, SMS, post and other electronic means;
  • conduct research;
  • help us review, develop and improve the products and services we offer; for example, your calls and messages to and from us may be monitored and recorded for training and quality assurance purposes;
  • answer your questions and enquiries;
  • tailor our Website and services to you; and
  • comply with our legal and regulatory duties.

We monitor Website usage to gather information on which parts of the Website you interacted with each time you log into Altitude. This information is gathered anonymously and in aggregate to enable us to identify the most useful information and services for our members and to assist us in the ongoing development of the Website.

Disclosure of Personal Data

Personal information you provide us is used only by Altitude and is never sold or given to third parties for any purpose without your approval. We may disclose anonymous and aggregated data about the use of our Website, however personal information is not disclosed. We use third parties to provide web analytics. These third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

Where is information stored?

All personal information we hold is processed using GDPR compliant internet or cloud-based services hosted in the UK or the USA.

Do we use organizations to process personal data on our behalf?

Yes. We sometimes delegate the personal information processing activities we undertake to third parties. For instance, we use third parties to process payments on our behalf and we may also use third parties to communicate with our members and registered users collectively, and to send marketing emails to potential employers, recruiters, private equity firms, etc. to alert them to members' potential availability We are required by data protection law to ensure that, where we use third party data processors, we use suitable third parties and have a contract in place with those third parties committing them to protect the personal information they receive and process on our behalf.

Networking

When Altitude networking is active, members will be encouraged to contact other members to network to their mutual benefit (contact exchange, referrals, business advice, etc.). The following guidelines to such communications apply:
  • solicitation to Altitude membership for sale of products or services that result in personal gain or are for the enrichment of the company they work for is not allowed. For example, communications to some or all of the membership to gain customers for professional or other services or products is strictly prohibited.
  • solicitation to Altitude membership to express a personal, religious or political point of view, or to elicit member opinions on any subject is not allowed. For example, fund raising requests, surveys, opinion polls and questionnaires are strictly prohibited.
  • Polling members to elicit information concerning other members' personal experience on the Website is not allowed.
The purpose of networking is to encourage positive communication to provide help and assistance. For example, passing on knowledge of contacts, vacancies, other information which can benefit members.

Altitude has the right to monitor and terminate any contact and/or solicitation it considers in violation of the networking rules. Members should report inappropriate communications to our Member Services Team at support@altitudeexecutives.com. Altitude reserves the right to terminate access to Networking privileges.

Cookies

Cookies are data files which are placed on your hard drive. These files help us to analyze website traffic and enable us to personalize your experience. Normally, browsers are set by default to allow cookies.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies, however, if you decline cookies this might restrict your use of Altitude.

Confidential Profiles

New members are asked to submit their resumes/CVs. These resumes/CVs are not held on the website or the company's servers. Resumes are received directly by the Altitude team and are used to help Altitude to write a confidential career and achievement profile (Profile) which is presented confidentially in a password protected area of the Website. Members are required to approve their profiles and the degree of confidentiality is at their discretion. With the member's prior approval, abbreviated and anonymous profiles might be sent by various means (direct mail, email, social media, etc.) to alert potential employers, recruiters, private equity firms, etc. to the member's potential availability.

It is the member's choice whether to include sensitive information. We do not require Members to include sensitive data (e.g., race, ethnicity, etc.) in their confidential profile. If you choose to show any such data, it is visible to others in the password protected area of the Website as part of your anonymous and confidential profile.

Your membership entitles you to have your profile updated as you gain promotions, switch jobs, etc. and we urge you to take advantage of this as up-to-date profiles are important to you and to those seeking talent. To update your profiles please contact us at support@altitudeexecutives.com.

Who might we share your personal information with?

  • Regulatory or law enforcement agencies or other third parties if we believe that we are required by law to disclose it in connection with the detection of crime, the collection of taxes or duties, in order to comply with any applicable law or order of a court of competent jurisdiction, or in connection with legal proceedings.

Business Transfer

In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, we may disclose personal data held by us to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets. If we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party (or subject to a reorganization within our corporate group), personal data held by us will be one of the transferred assets.

Executive Members

In submitting the registration form to us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms & Conditions of Altitude and the terms of this Privacy Statement.

You can only access the members area by entering your unique email address and password. You must not divulge your email address and password to any other third party. Altitude will not be responsible for the consequences of a third party accessing your account using your email address and password.

You are asked to submit your resume. This is to enable us to write a confidential and anonymous profile for you. Your resume is not held on our Website or servers.

Your profile can be deleted by you upon request to the Altitude team. Altitude also reserves the right to delete a member's profile as permitted in the Terms and Conditions.

All executive members may forward job applications to our advertisers on the Website. Altitude accepts no responsibility for the information contained within the advertisements placed on the Website, nor information or CV details passed to the advertiser by yourself.

Registration deems acceptance that we may use your registered name and email address to communicate with you and to inform you about other related services and products. Any member has the option to unsubscribe from our information emails.

Access to information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of your personal information held by us, please email or write to us. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.

Talent Seekers

Upon registration, talent seekers can place advertisements by accessing the recruiter area by using their unique username and password.

Any registered talent seeker has the option to unsubscribe from marketing emails.

Log Files

When you visit our Website, we collect statistics concerning your visit, which are stored in a log file. Log files allow us to record visitors' use of the site. We use Google Analytics to record visitors' use of the site and use this information to make changes to the layout of the Website and to the information in it. Log files are not used to identify any individual patterns of use of the site.

This statement only covers websites maintained by us, Altitude, and does not cover other websites linked from our Website.

Other websites

Our Website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to Altitude, so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and we will place any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on 11th March 2019.

Your rights

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you can request to see this information, and have it corrected or deleted.
